I work with the expanded painting. In my studio I have experimented with murals and shown how the image takes on a new role becoming part of the space and how the space becomes present becoming the image.
I use space-parts or free-standing elements to compose spatial paintings. Construction is the focal point of my work and I find beauty in systematics and structural order.
I am very concerned with spatiality and how surrounding space defines us. The surroundings set the stage, both for the way we experience ourselves and are experienced, they become a frame of reference in our memory universe as well as in our world of imagination.
Spatiality and construction along with colour shape and describe illusions, atmosphere and scenes appearing in my imagery and spatial works.
