A twelve-months project showing one and the same wall in twelve different variations to demonstrate how different approaches result in a variety of settings and atmospheres according to needs and requirements.
The first four walls originate in my previous work with construction and cohesion in my paintings. I have for years been working with a kind of brick composition and variations hereof.
The next four walls are based on a specific series of studies of stripes as an abstraction over colours fading into each other, called 4/4. Each element consists of eight stripes in two colours. Combined and challenged they will provide depth and rhythm.
The last four walls resume the project by working together as a unit. I imagine that they would work perfectly together as parts of the same complex. They are all the same composition addressing spatiality.
